As a teacher and aspiring therapist, the values and skills I learn in training help me create a highly productive learning environment in tutoring. I integrate humanistic and behavioral techniques in order to teach self sufficiency and provide a safe space to learn math. My techniques are proven to instill academic integrity, self-sufficiency, and joy in learning. My philosophy hinges on the idea that a strong and supportive relationship in tutoring will lead to better academic outcomes for my students. The more welcoming and supportive I am, the more my students feel safe and comfortable learning new concepts, which leads to greater self-sufficiency, agency, and better test scores.
