My Story
In 2021, I graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison with a B.A. in Economics. As part of my economic studies, I took advanced math classes including Calculus 1, 2, and 3, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Probability Theory, and Advanced Statistics. In 2023, I graduated with my M.A. in economics from Boston University with a continued focus on mathematical rigor, taking classes focused on proof writing and real analysis. Following my studies, I moved to Los Angeles and accepted a job doing statistical analysis for a consulting firm.
In time, I learned that consulting was not my calling, but in fact, I have an advanced understanding of and ability to work with kids. Since leaving the consulting firm, I have worked in summer camps, elementary schools, community colleges, religious schools, and as a private math tutor. I specialize in working with boys who have executive function, behavioral, social, and/or motivational issues in the classroom. I work from a strengths based approach, meaning I address issues of self-esteem by focusing on my student’s strongest traits. I make every student feel seen and appreciated.
In 2025, I began pursuing my MSW with the goal of becoming a therapist for kids and young adults of all ages. The skills that I’ve acquired in school help me to be a highly effective tutor with kids of all ages.
